SSD in WatchGuard Firebox x750e
The WatchGuard Firebox x750e is a very nice x86-based firewall appliance. Because of it's 'normal' architecture it's quite possible to run PfSense on the device, which turns it into a powerful Open Source firewall appliance. I decided to add an SSD in order to expand it's capabilities a little further.
Other improvements (undocumented) are adding a faster Pentium-M CPU instead of the stock Celeron, and adding a buttload of RAM.
This howto first appeared on the PfSense forum. Now that my site is sortof 'up and running', I decided to post it here as well. Hope it helps!
